“Feminine” subjectivity has been a dominant subject of interest depicted in all my previous works of performance art since 1996. Dissolution of the ego, hysterical behavior and the notion of a pre-oedipal nostalgia, other subjects expressed through various mediums. In my former performances under the alias Residua (n.pl) the central idea was one of art as experience rather than as representation and an on going interest has been the depiction of a subjects dissolution via conscience processes such as treating oneself as nothing more than an object, pushing the physical tolerance of my body in an attempt to expand self-consciousness overcoming physical and emotional pain, dissolving myself in the abject ritualized action. These performances were an expression to exorcise personal demons within, responding to a patriarchal and undesirable reality.

Guggenheim. This video-performance, first in the series Destroying 2000 Years of Culture, was created for an alternative art festival that took place at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao but was unfortunately censored by the direction of the museum a day before the scheduled screening on the 12th of May 2011.
In this video, the performer destroys a wardrobe full of VHS tapes labeled ‘Guggenheim’, first with an axe, followed by a ritualistic burning of the wardrobe and tapes. This work deals with the idea of the artist’s dissolution of her own narcissism, her conflicting sentiments towards her own practice and its relation to the ‘art institutions’.

Lost Paradise -a video-performance to be developed in South East Asia in 2012- deals with the theme of the regression to our animal condition, approached with a pantheist and ecological feeling. For this project I will bathe daily with the buffaloes on the water, becoming one of them.
Regression (Leipzig, 2012). This piece attempts to be an archeological revision of my personal life / past work and the intra-history of the space where the performance will take place.
